The folks over at Indie Games Uprising have released the first look at this year’s lineup for their Xbox Live Indie Games Summer Uprising. This year’s games are looking pretty tight so don’t count on using the remains of your Xbox Points, go get yourself a points card now.

This year’s uprising seems to heavily favor the puzzle-platformer, which is fine by me, but there are a few other intriguing games in the mix. Is that a call center simulator? I’m pretty sure it is. Diehard Dungeon also looks to be directly up my alley.
This year’s Summer Uprising will run from September 10th – 20th with one game releasing each week day for the duration. Check out the Xbox Live Indie games channel then, or better yet go check it out now. You can read our Indie Spotlights from the features menu above or go find a great little game for yourself.

New Dishonored Screens Out of QuakeCon 2012 New Dishonored Screens Out of QuakeCon 2012

Every time I see anything about Dishonored I get a little bit more excited to see the final product. Visuals aren’t everything but it isn’t often that I can get pumped up for a game just based on it’s art style. Well, I’ve also heard it’s pretty good but we’ll reserve judgment until we get our hands on it.
Dishonored QuakeCon 2012

For now, we’ll settle for having a look at some new Screenshots that came out of QuakeCon 2012. A good portion of these are from a demo level that was available there, which had our hero, Corvo, infiltrating a particularly creepy masquerade party. I’ll take this art style over photrealism any day.

Final Fantasy VII PC Re-release Goes Up Early, Is Pulled, Price Leaked Final Fantasy VII PC Re-release Goes Up Early, Is Pulled, Price Leaked

It turns out that it was too good to be true. Earlier in the day, without any accompanying announcement, the previously announced re-release of Final Fantasy VII for the PC appeared on the Square-Enix web store. A few hours later it was pulled down with only an error message in its place, but not before we got to see a few details.
Final Fantasy 7 PC

This early leak gave us a look at the full description and, more importantly, the price. This new version of Final Fantasy VII for the PC will run you $12, and allow you to install your copy on three computers while still taking advantage of the new cloud save feature. While we can’t confirm that this price is final, it seems to be the price Square-Enix intended to go with.
The store also released a full description of the new features that are as follows:
■ Achievements – Whether you’re a seasoned FINAL FANTASY VII veteran or exploring this RPG classic for the very first time, show off your in-game accomplishments and put your gaming skills to the test with 36 brand new achievements to unlock. Share your profile with friends online.
■ Cloud Saves – If you’re away from home or simply using a different computer to play, enjoy FINAL FANTASY VII wherever you are. With cloud save support in FINAL FANTASY VII you can continue your game progress right where you left off (Requires Internet Connection. Saves can only be transferred between a maximum of 3 computers at any one time).
■ Character Booster – Find yourself stuck on a difficult section or lacking the funds to buy that vital Phoenix Down? With the Character Booster you can increase your HP, MP and Gil levels to their maximum, all with the simple click of a button.
■ Optimized for PC – FINAL FANTASY VII has been updated to support the latest hardware and Windows Operating Systems.
While we knew most of the high level info about these features it’s nice to get a look at the specifics. Now, only one question remains; why don’t they just release it already?
